\nThis is a sequel to my previous post about my trip to Thessaloniki, Greece<\/b>. Here are the photos I made in the waterfront, where the famous White Tower<\/b> is. This symbol of the city is a monument of Greek struggle against the Turks. The Ottomans used is as a fort and a prison for torturing (and executing) the Greeks who wanted their freedom and their land back; therefore it was also known as The Blood Tower. Nowadays it is museum<\/b> dedicated to the city of Thessaloniki. If you ever visit Thessaloniki, make sure you get into this tower (the ticket costs only 3 \u20ac) <\/span>and climb all the way to the top. The view is just spectacular and below in this post you’ll be able to see several shots I made from the top of the tower. <\/span><\/i><\/span><\/div>\n
\nSti\u017ee nastavak prethodnog posta o Solunu<\/b>. Ovog puta predstavljam vam slike nastale na obali grada, gde se nalazi \u010duvena Bela kula<\/b>. Ovaj simbol Soluna predstavlja spomenik gr\u010dke borbe protiv neprijatelja, prvenstveno Turaka. Turci su za vreme otomanske vladavine kulu koristili kao tvr\u0111avu, ali i kao zatvor za mu\u010denje i pogubljivanje Grka \u017eeljnih oslobo\u0111enja od okupatora. Zbog toga su je neko vreme nazivali i Krvavom kulom. Danas je to muzej<\/b> posve\u0107en gradu i promenama koje je podneo tokom vekova koji su prohujali. Svako ko poseti Solun, treba obavezno i da se uspne na vrh Bele kule (ulaz ko\u0161ta samo 3 evra) i u\u017eiva u spektakularnom pogledu na grad i more. Pri silasku mo\u017eete zastati na svakom spratu i pogledati fotografije i video snimke koji govore o istoriji Soluna. <\/span><\/div>\n

Uz more se prostire veliko \u0161etali\u0161te<\/b>, gde Grci ujutro \u0161etaju pse ili d\u017eogiraju, dok se predve\u010de ispuni brojnim \u0161eta\u010dima, turistima i prodavcima koje\u010dega. <\/span>

\nPosetili smo i Srpsko vojni\u010dko groblje<\/b>, Zejtinlik, gde je sahranjeno oko 8000 na\u0161ih vojnika koji su u\u010destvovali u proboju Solunskog fronta. Unutra se nalaze i grobovi ruskih, francuskih, engleskih i italijanskih vojnika, a centralni deo zauzima kapela ispod koje se nalazi kripta koja \u010duva ostatke jednog dela poginulih boraca. Nisam htela ovde da ka\u010dim slike groblja, ali ga svakako treba posetiti i na taj na\u010din odati po\u010dast na\u0161im precima koji su poginuli u Prvom svetskom ratu. <\/span><\/div>\n
